JORDANCON 2022

It’s finally here!!! After ten thousands years I’m free. It’s time to conquer…whoa, wrong story, but the gist is the same. JordanCon 2022 is starting in mere minutes and I. AM. READY. The Crowne Plaza is stacked with a full staff to service the every whim of con goers everywhere. This is a pretty chill crowd based on my own experiences coming to JordanCon in past years; however, God only knows what being trapped inside during quarantine is going to produce in this crowd. But my optimism is high.

This year boasts the largest crowd the science fiction and fantasy literature convention has ever seen. This can only be attributed to the Amazon Prime 2021 series The Wheel of Time. Along with avid readers and bibliophiles everywhere, the television people are here. If the fandom on Facebook is any indication, this year’s convention will be interesting.

The Amazon series is the culmination of years of trying to produce Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson’s book series of the same name. There were many changes from the book to the show, as to be expected, but with a second season already coming and 14 books of information to pull from, the series is set to be wildly entertaining. And dare I say, more popular than Game of Thrones. I know, I know, it’s a very niche series, but I said what I said. It’ll at least have a better ending though.

If you find some time, please make your way down to Atlanta. We’ll trade book ideas and sing some karaoke. I’ve got high hopes for this weekend. Wishing you were here.
